Curriculum: Sexuality Education for People with Developmental Disabilities
A curriculum for people who need content and tools to teach sexuality classes. This 450-page, one-of-a-kind curriculum has been field-tested and praised by experts and laypeople alike. It’s cognitively accessible and designed for teams of self-advocates, staff, and teachers to co-lead an inspiring and engaging sexuality class. Everything you need to teach an effective, engaging sexuality class.

Curriculum: High Support Needs
In an effort to reach all people with I/DD, we created adaptations to our existing Sexuality Education for People with Developmental Disabilities curriculum for people who need simplified concepts, more visuals, and more time to process information. This newly adapted curriculum was designed by Rebekkah Abetya, a Special Educator, and Katherine McLaughlin, M.ed, CSE of Elevatus Training.

Communication Supports: Boards & Cards
These boards and cards were designed by experts in the fields of sexuality education and special education to be used with our curriculum: Sexuality Education for People with Developmental Disabilities. Communication boards and cards are assistive devices designed with graphics and words to support communication and assess understanding for people with limited and/or unreliable speech.

This slide deck, designed by experts in the fields of sexuality education, this slide deck was designed by the Elevatus team to accompany with our Sexuality Education for People with Developmental Disabilities curriculum. It includes a presentation for each of the 22 lessons in the curriculum to help guide you through the curriculum.

Curriculum: Building Healthy Relationships at Work
This curriculum will help you teach people with I/DD how to navigate all types of relationships, including co-worker relationships, and also how to become great employees. This curriculum is a collaboration between Elevatus Training and Project SEARCH, with input from other related experts.

Three-Day Certificate Training: Become a Sexuality Educator and Trainer
A Three-Day Certificate Training for anyone who works with people with developmental disabilities and wants to lead sexuality education classes and staff/parent trainings.

Live, Online Training: Break Down the Walls: Support Healthy Sexuality for LGBTQ People with I/DD
In this workshop, the presenters – speaking from personal experience – will delve deep into issues and barriers that impact LGBTQ+ people with I/DD and focus on knowledge and supports that are affirming and liberating to the LGBTQ+ community.

Online Workshop Series
We offer a series of live, online workshops, typically 90-minutes long to explore a wide range of topics related to sexuality and developmental disabilities. You determine our topics and what you tell us you are interested in or want to learn more about. Past workshops are also available for download.
