Summary: Learn how to support LGBTQ+ people with I/DD through inclusive sexuality education, relationships, and advocacy.
LGBTQ+ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) have felt invisible when someone is supporting them around the topic of sexuality. They want and need access to support and sexuality information that acknowledges and appreciates their whole selves. This workshop is designed for professionals, self-advocates, and sexuality educators to better support LGBTQ+ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities they work with, care about, or teach, either in a one-on-one or class setting.
This live online workshop, presented via Zoom, is designed for professionals, self-advocates, and sexuality educators who want to better support LGBTQ+ people with I/DD in one-on-one or group settings. Participants will gain practical strategies, resources, and tools to create more affirming and inclusive support environments.
