I remember the shock I felt when a self-advocate told me this story. What a strong message to send to someone with a disability. My first thought was: it is okay to learn about physical activity and nutrition, but as soon as the sexuality unit starts, we take you out of class and indirectly tell you that you don’t need that kind of information.
